Stranded

I does feel like I’ve been stranded for a few months, stuck on a rock and cut off from photographing wildlife.  Residual Covid lockdown effects stopping me getting out and about.  Well, hopefully for the next couple of weeks we can see a return to form as I’m up on holiday in Scotland on the west coast.  Today it’s on the Isle of Arran,  a small but surprisingly varied Island.

I found this common seal basking and, seemingly, stranded on a single boulder.  OK, it’s unlikely it was really stranded neither did it didn’t seem unduly stressed by the situation and wasn’t in a hurry to leave.  Just stretching and yawning.  Nevertheless, the title immediately came to mind.
