Little Egret

This is the second (actually the first) egret we get at our local nature reserve.  The Little Egret. It’s about half the size of the more recent visitors, the Great White Egret.  So, provided here for comparison.  The Little Egret has a black bill whilst the Great White has a distinctive yellow / orange boll and an attractive green lore patch (area between eye and bill).  Other than thet they can look very similar at a distance until you can get a sense of their respective sizes!
